Borys Lyatoshynskyi is often referred to as the father of Ukrainian symphony music.
He created music in very different styles and genres - from almost atonal modernism, expressionism of the 20th century, to neo-romantic miniatures, which the audience has the possibility to experience at the concert dedicated to the composer's 130th anniversary.
