I denne workshop skal vi skabe en enkel og smuk installation ved hjælp af papirklip. Installationen består af et myggenet, som i løbet af to dage fyldes af insekter, dyr og planter i sort papirklip som du skal være med til at klippe. Myggenet-installationen bliver efterfølgende udstillet i en længere periode i Spinderihallerne. Du kan derfor ikke få dine papirklip med hjem - til gengæld kommer de med på udstilling og du får en gratis frø-pose med hjem til glæde for både dig og insekterne!
Phuc Van Dangs mål med både workshop og installation er at invitere til samtale og eftertanke om biodiversiteten i byen og samtidig skabe noget smukt og konkret i en kreativ og langsom proces. Det kræver ingen forudsætninger at deltage og både børn og voksne kan være med.
Du vælger selv hvor lang tid du vil bruge og behøver ikke være med alle tre timer.
I løbet af to workshops skaber deltagerne sammen med kunstneren en enkel installation af myggenet og sort papirklip, som vil komme til at indgå i udstillingen Flora & Fauna som vises i Spinderiet.

Phuc Van Dang (f. 1972) er født i Vietnam og kom til Danmark i 1981.
Phuc udforsker temaer som identitet, tilhørsforhold, menneskelig natur og socialt engagement. Med et konsekvent og vedholdende fokus på at mestre den sorte streg, arbejder Phuc Van Dang ofte i et krydsfelt mellem kunst, design og kultur, med medier så som tegning, maleri, litografi, laserskæring, træ og digital animation.

// In this workshop we will create a simple and beautiful installation with papercuts. The installation consists of a mosquito net which we in the run of two days will cover with insects and plants cut in black paper. Afterwards, the installation will be part of artist Phuc Van Dang's beautiful exhibition Flora & Fauna in Spinderihallerne. Therefor, you will not be able to take home your papercuts - in return they will be exhibited and you can take home a small bag of flower seeds to make you and insects happy!
Phuc's vision with the workshop and the installation is to spark conversation and reflection about biodiversity in urban environments while we create something beautiful and concrete in a slow and creative proces. Anyone can participate - both kids and grown ups. It's up to you how long you want to stay in the workshop.
About the artist
Phuc Van Dang (b. 1972) is born in Vietnam and moved to Denmark in 1981. Phuc's artistic work revolves around identity, belonging, human nature and social engagement. With a continous focus on mastering the black line, Phuc often works in the intersection between art, design and culture with drawing, painting, lasercutting, wood and digital animation.

Myggenet-installationen bliver efterfølgende udstillet i en længere periode i Spinderihallerne.
