Iconic hall of Basement. Following each performance, the audience are invited explore the created soundscapes, using the technology themselves as the tool of discovery.
Having already toured the performance through Toronto, New York City and Aldeburgh Festival, performer and inventor Kalun Leung invites two danish improvisational artists to alongside him, showcase the innovative device - the mubone - for live-improvisational performance.
THE MUBONE
Developed by Kalun Leung and Travis Scott, the mubone allows for the augmentation of any instrument, to log sound in the empty space of any room, utilizing orientation sensor technology, like we know from smartphones. The performer is able to freeze otherwise fleeting sounds into space, creating a dialogue between space and performer in the sound-poetic exploration of space and architecture.

Kalun Leung, Hong-Kong born and Montréal based, is an accomplished improvisational trombonist. Leung specializes in improvisational, experimental and electroacoustic music, integrating movement, instrument design, cultural heritage and site-specificity into his works.Leung has previously collaborated with artists such as Meredith Monk, Sarah Davachi, Bekah Simms, and George Lewis, as well as performed with Slavic Soul Party, Anthony Braxton, and International Contemporary Ensemble.

Kirsten Voss is a Copenhagen-based vocalist, who skillfully utilizes her voice in a broad spectrum of genres, ranging from experimental extended vocal techniques to traditional opera.She has vocalized, screamed and groaned her way through VR opera "Mortalities" at Teater Sort/Hvid, Aldeburgh Festival and in the ritualistic performance piece "HYL" for Aarhus Unge Tonekunstnere, as well as sung with renowned institutions like The Royal Danish Theatre, Aalborg Symphony Orchestra and Opera Hedeland.

Sara Nigard Rosendal, also based in Copenhagen, is a percussionist and composer in high demand. Transcending the traditional boundaries of her instrument, she creates universes of sound, bringing her to work in a variety of artistic constellations such as the sound collective We Like We, performing on Roskilde Festival, "Mother Soldier" for Datterselskabet, "Grubleren" at Aveny-T, "Silent Zone" at Malmö Opera and "KATLA" at Sydhavns Teater.
