Classical Music Concert: Natalia Gordeyeva and Morten Jessen

Ukraine House in Denmark invites you to the release of the album KYIV - The Music of Empathy. It is a cross-cultural collaboration between a Danish composer who's never been to Ukraine and a refugee violinist, far from her war torn home.

The violinist Natalia Gordeyeva and Danish composer Morten Jessen. The composition KYIV consists of four movements written for piano and violin, and will be performed at the Ukraine House in full. The composition was created by Martin Jessen in the first months of the full-scale invasion, inspired by the courage and strength of Kyiv's defenders. Natalia Gordeyeva joined Jessen in performing the composition, as she instantly became moved by the affinity between the piece and her native Kyiv."It is my hope that this music could contribute to a better understanding of the struggle in which the Ukrainian people are fighting for the entire West, and where KYIV is a symbol of overcoming unmanageable challenges." - Martin Jessen.

After the performance, you are welcome to join in for a talk with the artists over a glass of wine and small bites.
Save the date: April 19th, 17:00
Location: Gammel Dok, Strandgade 27B, Ukraine House in Denmark.
