We are Solace Society. A Copenhagen-based band trio operating in the cross-countrymusical territories and outskirts of indie, lofi, folk, epic and rock DNA threads of the 1970s and 1990s. In Nov 2022 we found our Moment of Truth.

On Oct 25th 2024 we will launch our debutalbum "Your Moments of Truth".

Solace Society bears resemblance to a diversity of bands, such as The National, Pink Floyd, Nick Cave, REM, Bowie, Radiohead, Pearl Jam - and Danish colleagues Mew and Kashmir. The trio has a raw and sometimes unpolished sound and style congenial withother bands from eras prior to the millenium.

In terms of lyrical spheres this band is not afraid to submerge itself into stories that are personal and often tainted with a mysterious, enigmatic, spiritual and sometimes even psychedelic dimension. Jim Morrison, Roger Waters, Lou Reed and Leonard Cohen may be influences here - but a heritage from surrealist and beat poets throughout time would be a more adequate stamp.

Road trips and the immanent beauty and metaphorical power of cities and landscapes are a recurrent theme in the lyrics of Solace Society. Other themes include love, loss, longing - and the desire to feel at home anywhere in the world, whilst fleeing the concept of home and homecoming altogether at the same time.
