Join us for an intimate and atmospheric evening as Vift Records brings its European tour to Copenhagen. On stage, you'll meet dePresno, Fonella, Drea, and the promising newcomer Cubakisen.
The evening will feature heartfelt singer-songwriter and folk music in an intimate setting-a unique opportunity to experience artists up close, both their music and the stories behind it.
dePresno
Hailing from the rain-soaked streets of Bergen, dePresno is a distinctive musical talent with a deep baritone voice, unexpected from such a young artist (27 is still young, right?). His unique blend of acoustic and electronic sounds immediately captured attention with his debut single "Forever" in 2015.
Since then, dePresno has impressed with his songwriting skills and emotional performances, amassing a devoted following with songs like "Stranger in Disguise" and "Hide and Seek." His latest album, Technicolor, Monochrome and Places, showcases a mature and introspective approach to themes like love, identity, and the challenges of youth. With performances at major festivals and tours across Europe, dePresno's music bridges the gap between traditional singer-songwriter influences and modern pop, making him one of Norway's most exciting contemporary artists.
Fonella
Fonella is the artist project of producer, songwriter, and musician Trygve Tronstad. The project emerged in late 2017 when songwriting became the easiest way to navigate and make sense of the chaos within a young mind. Fonella is the sound of an empty room, where endless thoughts collide against the walls, creating chaos that gradually takes shape in songs. It is this space he hopes to invite listeners into, helping them realize they are not alone in feeling terrible at times.
Fonella draws deep inspiration from the American indie-folk wave, with artists like Phoebe Bridgers, Adrienne Lenker, Bon Iver, and Sufjan Stevens, where simplicity in songs and the emotions they convey are central. Against this backdrop, he strives to create his own musical universe, weaving lyrics about mental health, relationships, and self-loathing into warm, melodic instrumentals.
Drea
Drea, the newest indie gem from Bergen, is an alternative indie-pop project focusing on honest lyrics about mental health and the frustrations of life's challenges. Behind the project is Andrea Ådland, a versatile artist who has made her mark on Norway's music scene as a songwriter, vocalist, and backing singer.
Andrea was previously part of the duo Finding Neo and is also involved with the band Atari. Additionally, she has contributed as a backing vocalist for renowned artists like Hannah Storm and Hedda Mae. With an impressive music career behind her, Drea has now gone solo, crafting melancholic, indie-inspired music in her signature singer-songwriter style, drawing inspiration from musical greats like Phoebe Bridgers and Joni Mitchell.
Cubakisen
Cubakisen has yet to release his debut single but has already made a mark on Norway's music scene. After several years as a producer in Oslo's rap community, he has gradually developed his own musical expression. Influenced by the soundtrack of his upbringing, with artists like Tom Waits and Nick Cave, his music blends melancholic melodies inspired by the 70s with a modern soundscape. With heartfelt (Norwegian) lyrics and a unique crooner-like vocal style, he creates an atmosphere balancing romance and sentimentality.
