Shakespeare in Song

The works of William Shakespeare have been presented and reinvented continuously since the 16th century, including as musical interpretations on Broadway and the West End.

Shakespeare in Song is a cabaret-style revue of highlights from Shakespeare-inspired musicals like West Side Story, Kiss Me Kate, Something Rotten, and many more. Presented by a team of singers and musicians, and led by a musical Emcee, this musical show connects the historical timelessness of Shakespeare with contemporary issues like gender identity, inequality, and of course forbidden love. You don't have to love Shakespeare to enjoy this night of shrewd showmanship and shameless shenanigans; of songs, sonnets, and soliloquies; of musical monologues and a master of revels. Come join us for a musical cabaret, featuring an all-star cast of singers and live accompaniment, as we plumb the depths of Shakespeare?s influence on literature, life, and musical theater. MUSIC Vocals: Dennisalias Crystallando, Freya Uldal, Kristen Flanagan, Olivia Yoonjoo Jang, Rachel Kador Piano: Melina Karu. CREATIVE TEAM Producer: Lasse Holmelund Jarbøl Director: Rachel Kador Choreographer: Emma Balalic.
