A local expert will talk about the church's history, its role in the community, and the religious life at the location, and refreshments will be served during the event
Broholm Church, built in 1907, is one of the newer churches in the municipality, constructed due to population growth around the new railway stations. First came the Funen longitudinal railway (1865) and later it was connected to the Assens railway (1884). The Store Broholm farm donated the land and contributed to the naming of the church as Broholm Church. Much of the church's furnishings were donated by local contributions. The church is located in a hilly area with a 28.5 meter elevation difference across the churchyard. Unusually for churches, it has an east-facing tower, likely due to the desire for direct access to the church from the road. In 2018, a so-called refuge was established in a corner of the churchyard for outdoor events, and in 2024, new meeting hall facilities are expected to be constructed in the parking area between the churchyard and the current parish house
