Hertug Hans Festival - living History for the Whole Family

Southern and South Jutland's largest historical family event. Meet large dogs, beautiful birds, diligent craftsmen, merry jesters and skilled musicians in Damparken in Haderslev from May 30 to June 1

The year is 1560. In Haderslev, Duke Hans the Elder is busy building his grand castle, Hansborg. The town is bustling with craftsmen and merchants, and now the duke invites everyone to a summer market where good people of all ages from near and far can gather for three joyful days of trade, fun, and games

This is the historical backdrop for Southern and South Jutland's largest historical family event, based on Haderslev's unique history from the 1500s and 1600s.

In an engaging and immersive manner, children and adults alike will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the era through encounters with skilled practitioners of crafts, music, and merriment. There are also many opportunities to try things for themselves and to be inspired through conversations with the many talented performers at Hertug Hans Festival.

As always, entry to Hertug Hans Festival in Damparken is free on all three days. More information can be found on the festival's website www.hertughansfestival.dk
