In his talk Matt will walk us through key themes of his incredible graphic design archive Design Reviewed, and discuss how history connects with current design practices. You will also have the chance to browse through the 100 graphic design artefacts Matt will bring with him all the way from the UK.
Workshop
We believe inspiration should be put straight into action! After the talk you will join Matt for a workshop where you can connect with fellow designers and create posters inspired by his talk and the museum's collection.

About Matt Lamont
Matt is a designer, collector, educator, and public speaker passionate about research-led design. As co-founder of Out of Place Studio, a research-driven design agency specialising in graphic design and web development, they have delivered major projects for clients such as Heart Research UK, the Natural History Museum, and the Children's Heart Research Fund.
Matt is also the driving force behind Design Reviewed, an initiative that connects students and professionals with graphic design history through his personal archive of over 5,000 books, journals, catalogues, posters, and other ephemera. The archive contains over 5,000 printed design artifacts, which Matt utilises as a catalyst for educational workshops and talks, and as a wellspring of inspiration for students and professionals.
