Égersis: Let the Marimba Speak

4 World Premiers. Acclaimed Estonian percussion artist Tanel-Eiko Novikov brings to you the beautiful soundscapes of the marimba and breaks the known technical boundaries of the instrument in this new concept program.

Tanel-Eiko Novikov is quickly becoming one of the most outstanding percussion artists of his generation. In Estonia, Tanel gained wider recognition after winning the ERR and Eesti Kontsert TV competition "Classical Stars 2018" and representing Estonia at the Classical Eurovision in Scotland. He is now building an international career as a soloist and chamber musician.

Tanel's playing style is characterized by extreme sensitivity and lyricism as well as technical virtuosity that pushes the known boundaries of musical performance. He actively performs in Estonia and the Nordic countries and has frequently appeared as a soloist on stages across Europe and beyond. Notable solo performances include appearances at the Mariinsky Theatre Concert Hall in St. Petersburg and the Henry Crown Hall at the Jerusalem Theatre.

In recent years, Tanel has received recognition at competitions worldwide.
