Hatha Yoga

With Joséphine Renard is an invitation to gently land in your own body and take a break from everyday demands.

Whether you're new to yoga or have experience, this class is designed to help you explore and strengthen your body in a safe and supportive environment. The focus is on creating a balance between strength and flexibility, allowing you to find peace and stability in both foundational and more challenging poses.
This Hatha class is created to be accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of injuries, age, body type, or experience level. Emphasis is placed on everyone participating at their own level, with no pressure to perform. Here, it's not about achieving the perfect stretch or mastering a pose but about building a sense of presence and self-acceptance. In this way, yoga becomes an opportunity to deepen your connection to your body, recognize your own limits, and develop foundational strength.
We work at a calm pace, holding the poses a bit longer to find balance and stability within the body. This approach allows you to play with the movements and explore your body's potential-whether it's finding a steady balance or simply feeling your breath. The exercises are adapted so you can find the level that suits you, with each movement focused on listening to your body and moving at your own pace. For those who wish to challenge themselves, there's the option to experiment with some of the more dynamic poses, though that's not the primary goal.
The goal of this Hatha class is for you to leave with a sense of success-whatever that means for you. Perhaps you find calm and release the day's stress, or maybe you experience the joy of standing on your head for the first time since childhood. What matters most is that you feel whole and comfortable in both body and mind when you leave the class. There are no expectations here, only an open invitation to join and experience yoga on your own terms.

About Joséphine Renard:
Yoga practitioner since 1999, yoga teacher since 2014.
I first encountered yoga in 1999 and quickly discovered a way to move that was gentle on my troubled knees yet still made me strong and flexible. Since then, yoga has been a central part of my life, and in 2014, I decided to pass it on by completing my first of many yoga teacher trainings.
As a teacher, my approach is to create space to experience the body through movement and breath. In my classes, there's room to sweat, be challenged, and find calm, as well as room to recognize-and laugh about-the fact that poses don't always look like they do in Yoga Journal or on Instagram.
I emphasize building a foundational strength so we can safely play with the more challenging poses. It's important to me that yoga, in one way or another, is accessible to everyone, regardless of injuries, body type, or age.
My goal is for students to leave class with a feeling of success. Whether that means finding peace after a long workday or standing on their head for the first time since childhood, what matters to me is that they feel "right" and comfortable in both body and mind.
