Bakhmut - once a quiet town in eastern Ukraine. Now it has become a symbol of the heroism and courage of Ukrainian soldiers, a fortress of the Ukrainian spirit.
During the most intense battles for Bakhmut in the winter and March of 2023, writer Myroslav Laiuk, together with photographer Danylo Pavlov, spent time with Ukrainian infantrymen, artillerymen, rescuers, and children in the city and its surroundings, where artillery shelling and street fighting were ongoing. As a result of this trip, Myroslav wrote a book of reports and essays titled "Bakhmut".
