Nikolaj Callesen primarily writes his songs in Danish. Characteristic of his expression is sensitivity, warmth, intensity, presence and poetry, and the words often traverse an existential universe. It is all about proximity and presence in the world, the journey we are on alone and together in everyday movements from A to B, the moments and the present experienced in the elusive and recognizable.
