Was established as a band in 1981 by Kristian Blak. At Copenhagen Winterjazz 2025 South African trombone player Siya Makuzeni and Estonian. saxophone player Villu Veski will join Yggdrasil. Villu has performed in Faroe Islands since the 1990-.

Ties. He performs on several Yggdrasil recordings and har participated in numerous tours in the USA,
Europe, Nordic countries and Siberia.
Kristian heard Siya perform at World New Music Days í Johannesburg 2023. She plays trombone and
sings. Yggdrasil often plays music inspired by South African jazz music and Siya is naturally on home
ground here.
