Paolo de Venecia Gile is the first artist in residence in All all all's exhibition programme Tryouts. KAYA - every time the sun comes up is Venecia de Gile's project a transformative installation that evolves as a performance triptych.
The three-part performance poetically translates their interest in and research on internet culture, viral dances, Southeast Asian shamanism, and Nordic mythology. Switching between manifesting spaces of individuality and community, the artist tries to employ healing through choreography, club culture and folk performance.
Part 1: day breaks, the chaos flowers delves into the tension between restfulness and hyperproductivity using somatic and modernist dance techniques. The performance features a musical blend of synth, percussive, and wind instruments, accompanied by a scenography that includes an iconic chair, mundane mats, and costume elements made from woven palm leaves, transporting the audience to another realm.
