Under det nuværende Christiansborg Slot ligger ruinerne af de tidligere slotte og borge på stedet. I de stemningsfulde udgravninger kan man se resterne af Biskop Absalons borg fra 1167 og det mægtige Blåtårn fra Københavns Slot, hvor Leonora Christina sad fængslet i 22 år
