Konference/seminar
AHC x Supervising Artistic and Practice-based Research : Publishing for Urgency : Eva Weinmayr
CAFx og Art Hub Copenhagen, kl. 10.30-13.
On Wednesday 21 August, researcher Eva Weinmayr will share some of her artistic research-based projects at AHC. Eva Weinmayr's collaborative practice is grounded in contemporary art, radical education and institutional analysis.
Concerned with the micro-politics of publishing from an intersectional feminist perspective, Eva published her doctoral thesis titled Noun to Verb on a MediaWiki. Current artistic research-based projects include Ecologies of Dissemination (with Femke Snelting) developing decolonial feminist approaches to knowledge sharing and practices of reuse; and "Teaching the Radical Catalogue - a Syllabus" (with Lucie Kolb) interrogating the prevailing methods and practices of naming and classifying knowledges in institutional libraries in the Global North.
Eva researches currently at HDK Valand, Academy of Art and Design Gothenburg and as Visiting Research Professor at Institute Experimental Design and Media Cultures, Basel Academy of Design and Art.

AHC x Supervising Artistic and Practice-based Research : Publishing for Urgency : Cally Spooner
CAFx og Art Hub Copenhagen, kl. 10.30-11.30.
The final public event in relation to the PhD symposium will be the keynote lecture A Hypothesis of Resistance by Cally Spooner. A Hypothesis of Resistance is a series of five essays on "performance" by artist Cally Spooner (b. 1983, UK).
In each, Spooner holds and examines temporalities that defy and eclipse the standardizations which drive individual and societal bodies to perform toward an entirely metric-oriented future. Spooner is currently PhD research fellow at O-Overgaden, in association with the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and the University of Copenhagen (2021-24). Spooner's series of essays A Hypothesis of Resistance-the last of which will focus on Duration as does her exhibition-has been workshopped collectively at O-Overgaden and is published by Mousse Magazine.
Spooner has recently presented shows at the Art Institute of Chicago; the Swiss Institute, New York; Castello di Rivoli, Turin; the New Museum, New York; and the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam.

AHC x CAFx : Performance lecture & screening : Skafte Aymo-Boot & Maria Lalou : [UN]FINISHED
CAFx og Art Hub Copenhagen, kl. 17-19.
In collaboration with CAFx, AHC invites you to join us on 27 August for a screening and performance lecture with architect Skafte Aymo-Boot and conceptual sculptor and filmmaker Maria Lalou.
The evening will take its starting point in their newly published book, [UN]FINISHED - Atlas of Athens' Incomplete Buildings - A Story of Hidden Antimonuments, inwhich they present and unfold the phenomenon of a particular pending architecture.
The architectural archetype of the unfinished concrete building can be found everywhere in the Athenian cityscape. Those structures, left in the middle of a discontinued building process in a seemingly never-ending pause, are signs of invisible financial and political structures defining the physical appearance of the city. With its character of a ruin of a forgotten purpose the unfinished building is at the same time pointing to the past and to the future, as a frozen moment of time preserved ever since its volume reached that concrete state.
PROGRAM
17.00 Welcome & short presentation
17.10 Lecture performance by Skafte Aymo-Boot and Maria Lalou
17.40 Screening of Barbaresou Legacy, or The Cursed One
17.55 Q&A
18.15 Drinks
19.00 Thanks for coming and goodbye

27 August at 5.00-7.00PM.

ABOUT MARIA LALOU
Maria Lalou is a Greek conceptual sculptor and experimental filmmaker. Her work focuses on the political of the viewer, in the form of installations, performances, filmic documents and publications. She has published two monographs [theatro], Onomatopee - 2015 & the camera, Dolce Publications - 2019.
ABOUT SKAFTE AYMO-BOOT
Skafte Aymo-Boot is a Danish architect with an independent design and research practice. He has realised a variety of permanent and temporary works in Europe and Asia, many of which are the result of collaborations with artists operating in the overlap between architecture and visual art. He is also a partner at the architectural office OP - Open Platform in Copenhagen.
Since 2012, Lalou & Aymo-Boot work together on [UN]FINISHED, their continuous research on the unfinished concrete buildings of Athens. In 2020, they founded 'cross section archive' in Athens, a space for art & architecture, exploring urban phenomena that occur in the intersection of those disciplines and how historical facts, political structures and everyday circumstances have been interfering with, forming, and directing them. They curate an annual thematic program of research and exhibitions, inviting artists, architects and thinkers to collectively investigate and expand the theme at stake, and publish the zine 'Document'

4. Høring: : Lovforslag af Pil Thielst
CAFx og Art Hub Copenhagen, kl. 17-19.
Commission on Circularity åbner dørene for sin fjerde process.
Billetpris: 30 kr. / free for CAFx Community medlemmer
