The G! Festival is a unique experience for both audiences and performers due to the staggering beauty of the surroundings and the overwhelming friendly atmosphere at the set.

Held mainly in the beautiful surroundings on the beach of Syðrugöta, the G! Festival is Faroe Islands' first utdoor festival featuring both Faroese and foreign contemporary pop, rock and folk artists.

The festival is arranged by Tónleikasamtakið Grót in association with Fólkatónleikarastevnan. Our mission is as declared in the following points:

1.To offer the audience high quality music.
2.To create a platform in which Faroese, Nordic and International music can be presented to a diversified audience.
3.To provide gifted Faroese musicians and bands with the opportunity to play their original material for a large audience.
4.To establish contacts between the Faroese music scene and its counterparts in neighbouring countries, i.e. attract musicians and audiences to the Faroes for inspiration and the exchange of ideas, thereby taking on the challenges of creating a positive spirit of musical development.
5.To make the G! Festival the single most important musical event in the Faroes as well as an important contibutor to the musical life of the whole Nordic Region
